Bombers Lose to Trenton

The Trenton Devils defeated the Dayton Bombers 4-1 Friday night at Sovereign Bank Arena in front of 2,474 fans.

Dayton forward Brad Bonello took advantage on the power play for the Bombers scoring in the first period for the only goal of the period and the only goal of the game for the Bombers.

The Bombers were without two top players Friday night, center Yannick Tifu has been loaned to Albany (AHL) and forward Matt Beaudoin has been loaned to Iowa Stars (AHL).

An interesting fact is that Brad Bonello had the worse +/- on ice time for the Bombers, with -3, even though he scored the only goal for the Bombers Friday night.

Trenton center Trevor Kell scored in the second period scoring the only goal of the second period on a power play to tie the score at 1.

Trenton would score the other 3 goals all in third period. Colin Pepperall scored the go –ahead goal in third period with 5:06 left to go to give Trenton the lead. Dayton pulled its goalie late in the game and Trenton scored the other two goals on an empty net to close out the game.
